These Laguiole knives are hand-made, shaped, and finished all start to finish by a single craftsman in France. Knives made in the small village Laguiole France dates back to a tradition from 1828. Each handle is carved to fit to the contours of your hand.  Classic Laguiole knives feature a slim, sinuous outline. They are about 6-12 cm long when closed, with a narrow, tapered blade, steel backspring, and a high quality of construction. Traditionally, the handle was made of cattle horn; however, nowadays other materials are sometimes used. These materials are available including French woods, exotic woods from all around the world, and ivory.
