The Pilot Con-40 converter fits in almost all Pilot brand pens released in America. These converters allow you to draw ink from any fountain pen friendly ink bottle. Simply insert it into the front section of your pen, dip the nib into an ink bottle, twist down and back up. I like to have a tissue nearby to wipe off the top of the nib and grip section. This opens up many more color choices than cartridges provide. This converter will only work with Pilot brand pens, not other brands.
