The Lamy 2000 is one of the most famous fountain pens in the world. It is made of a combination of black fiberglass and brushed resin. This pen writes with a 14kt gold nib, which has a slightly squared tip to it. This gives it a very smooth and luxurious line. Most people find the extra fine or fine to work for them due to how broad this pen is. The Lamy 2000 fills through a piston mechanism. This means it can only be filled by bottled ink. To fill the pen simply dip the front section into an ink bottle and twist the back of the pen all the way up and back down.
