Platinum #3776 Century Fountain Pen - Travia (Limited Edition)
$595.00
Travia takes its name from a combination of "Tradition" and "Via," meaning path in Latin. Built on decades of #3776 heritage, it represents Platinum's forward-looking vision for modern fountain pen design—both in form and in writing performance.
The standout feature is the newly engineered FLAF nib, short for "Float Like A Feather." Refined from the #3776 CENTURY DECADE, the FLAF nib delivers an exceptionally soft, responsive writing experience. It flexes with less force than standard #3776 nibs and responds in a more linear, controlled manner, allowing you to fine-tune line variation naturally through pressure. The result is a smooth, expressive feel that remains precise and easy to control.
Travia introduces a long-body, flat-top design with integrated metal components in both barrel and grip section. This brings the center of gravity closer to your fingertips, creating a stable, well-balanced feel whether posted or unposted—ideal for extended writing sessions. Black nickel plating on the metal trim offers a refined, subdued shine. The 14kt gold nib features ruthenium plating that conveys depth and elegance.
Limited to 2,000 sets worldwide, each includes a special package featuring "Ah, Fifty Years of Hardship," written by Platinum founder Shunichi Nakata. This classic work, first published in 1966, has been revised and newly translated into English for international readers.
